What is oodle.com ?
Oodle is currently the largest classifieds aggregator, and aggregates listings from sites like eBay, rent.com, Myspace, as well as local listings from local newspapers and websites. Oodle powers other companies' classifieds websites, from the online classifieds for traditional newspapers including The Sun , The Washington Post Express, The San Diego Union-Tribune, New York Post to other large websites like Lycos , Local.com , Military.com , MySpace , to non-traditional classifieds hosting sites like Wal-Mart. Oodle searches vertically in the classifieds categories of cars, real estate, renting, jobs, personals, merchandise, tickets, pets and services. Oodle aggregates listings from national and local sources, covering 289 regions and 494 colleges in the United States, 120 cities and 84 universities in the UK, and 39 regions and 31 universities in Canada. On March 6, 2009, Facebook launched a new version of its Marketplace application powered by Oodle. However, as of March 13, 2009, the application will only allow listing items on locations within the U.S.
