Marketing is the lifeline of any site. The more that you can do, the better off you are. If you can have your users assist you in advertising your site with you, the futher your site will grow and the larger it will become. This modification has been designed to do exactly that.
The auction affiliate system is a 7 point system which rewards your users for referring people to you site, by way of providing them with site credits based on the performance of that user while they are a member of your site.
New User Registration - If user Joe signs up using Bobs affiliate link, Bob gets 'x' credit.
New Auction Listings - If user Joe posts an auction, Bob, who is the affiliate, gets 'x' credit for each auction listed.
Auction Purchases - If user Joe wins an auction, Bob, who is the affiliate, gets 'x' credit for each auction won.
Store Subscriptions - If user Joe purchases a store, Bob, who is the affiliate, gets 'x' credit for its purchase.
Account Verification - If user Joe opts to Verify his accounts identity, Bob, who is the affiliate, gets 'x' credit for doing so.
Relisted Auction Listings - If user Joe relists an auction, Bob, who is the affiliate, gets 'x' credit for each auction relisted.
Account Payments - If user Joe makes an account payment, Bob, who is the affiliate, gets 'X' percentage of that payment credit.
All options of course, can be turned on/off, at will, by the system admin.
This is an excellent addition, as it encourages (and rewards) user participation. The best form of advertising is word of mouth, and with this mod, the user is encouraged to advertise your site, as he stands to benefit from receiving the system credit that you are giving them for doing so. |
